The first thing to do is to find out what is the weight of your dog. Using this dropper CBD chart and our online dosage calculator, you will easily know what is the perfect dose for your pet. CBD dosage is based on the weight of your pet, and so is the strength of the bottle. Pawt4Paws carries 4 different strengths of CBD that center on the weight of the pet. CBD Dosage For Ailments

If you are treating for an aliment like epilepsy, cancer treatment, arthritis, general anxiety,  allergies, etc., we suggest using the recommended dosage from our calculator twice a day. So, all the dosages should be calculated according to this assumption of using the recommended dosage morning and night. We suggest using this dosage regularly for 3 days. CBD Dosage For Anxiety Triggers

If you are treating for anxiety that is triggered by something such as the vet, thunderstorms, groomer, car rides, fireworks, etc., you will use the recommended dosage from the calculator 1 full hour before the trigger occurs. If you find that this is not enough, next time you administer the oil go ahead and use the recommended dosage plus half. For example, if the calculator suggests 10mg you would be giving 15mg if you need to increase.

CBD Dosage for Small Dogs and Cats 400mg Bottle (5-35lbs)

1/4 ml (a quarter of a dropper) = 3.5mg of CBD when you use our 400mg 30ml size bottle. According to our dosage chart, if your pet is 10lbs,  you need 3.5mg of CBD twice a day. So according to the dropper measurements on the chart, that is 1/4ml on a dropper twice a day.

A full dropper is 1ml which is 14mg of CBD for our 400mg 30ml size bottle. For example, if your pet is 35lbs, they will need 14mg of CBD twice a day. So according to the dosage chart measurements, that is a full dropper twice a day.

CBD Dosage for Medium Dogs 1000mg Bottle (35-75lbs)

1/4 ml (a quarter of a dropper) = 8.5mg of CBD when you use our 1000mg 30ml size bottle. For example, if your pet is 35lbs, our calculator shows you need 14mg of CBD twice a day. So according to the dropper measurements on the chart, that is 1/2ml on a dropper twice a day.

A full dropper is 1ml which is 34mg of CBD per 1000mg 30ml size bottle. For example, if your pet is 75lbs, they will need about 27mg of CBD twice a day. So according to the dosage chart measurements, that is 3/4 of a dropper twice a day.

CBD Dosage For Large Dogs 1600mg Bottle (75lbs+)

1/4 ml (a quarter of a dropper) = 13.5mg of CBD when you use our 1600mg 30ml size bottle. For example, if your pet is 75lbs, our calculator shows you need 27mg of CBD twice a day. So according to the dosage chart measurements, that is 1/2ml on a dropper twice a day.

A full dropper is 1ml which is 54mg of CBD per 1600mg 30ml size bottle. For example, if your pet is 100lbs, they will need 35mg of CBD twice a day. So according to the dosage chart measurements, that is a little less than 1/2ml twice a day.

CBD Dosage For Giant Dogs 2200mg Bottle (100lbs+)

1/4 ml (a quarter of a dropper) = 18.5mg of CBD when you use our 2200mg 30ml size bottle. For example, if your pet is 100lbs, Our calculator shows you need 35mg of CBD twice a day. So according to the dosage chart measurements, that is about 1/2ml on a dropper twice a day.

A full dropper is 1ml which is 54mg of CBD per 2200mg 30ml size bottle. For example, if your pet is 200lbs, they will need 70mg of CBD twice a day. So according to the dosage chart measurements, that is 1 1/4ml twice a day.

Suggested CBD Administration For Dogs and Cats

One very common question regarding dosage is how to actually give your dog or cat CBD oil. There are three options you can use! First, you can put the CBD oil all over their food if they have specific meal times. Do not do use this method if your pet free feeds. Second, you can administer the oil straight in their mouth. There is little to no flavor, however; most pets don’t typically enjoy this method. As I am sure you can imagine! And lastly, you can put the oil on a treat or their favorite snack. We’ve seen success with cheese, lunch meat, regular treats, and even hot dogs!

We suggest feeding your dog or cat around the same time you give them their CBD, which is why we recommend dosing morning and night. There are no adverse side effects if you do not administer the oil with food. It just works better when given with food!
