Inflammation is one of the top reasons that we have seen our customers become interested in CBD here in Canada.
Understand what inflammation is; we can see that many symptoms of anxiety, pain and discomfort stem from inflammation.
In the body’s defense system, the immune system, triggers an inflammatory type response when there is no actual infection or injury in some diseases, such as arthritis, to respond to. Autoimmune diseases are the body’s protective immune system responding as if normal tissues are infected and it causes damage to its own tissues.
What are the Symptoms of Inflammation? Symptoms of inflammation include, joint pain, joint stiffness and sometimes swelling. For example, when we see decreased mobility such as limping or pain when our pups get up or try to jump on the bed. Surely most of us have had some sort of symptom of inflammation. We all know that it can cause a lot of pain and discomfort. Whether it be from an injury or just from sleeping in an uncomfortable bed when you’re a guest at someones house. When we start to consider that as our pups age it’s a common issue that we all face.
CBD does a couple of important things that help to keep our pups and us moving freely. We all feel better when we are living our lives with less discomfort. We discussed in a previous blog about CB1 Receptors and CB2 receptors. CB2 receptors are part of the endocannabinoid system. We are mammals and our bodies all have these receptors which are connected to the immune system. CBD works to both inhibit pain and also treat inflammation. This is why CBD works so well in coordination with our built-in endocannabinoid system.
There are so many personal experiences that our customers have shared with us, as well as our own experiences that have shown us how well CBD works. In many situations helping our pets and ourselves increases our quality of life. When we’re able to take our pups out for a walk and enjoy the outdoors, pain free, we all win from the benefits of CBD and inflammation.
